Integral Life Coaching
My practice is grounded in creating a nurturing and compassionate space for people of all backgrounds and identities. I support people in a holistic manner while offering practices and tools that are paths for healing, inner expansion and sustained change. I am passionate about working with people who understand the connection between our inner world and our external lives, and with those who are committed to making a positive impact in the world. My coaching is tailored to your unique situation and needs. It involves a customized program that includes weekly or bi-weekly meetings, practices and exercises to do at home, and resources to support your ongoing transformational process.
Individual Coaching
My one on one coaching practice can foster your ongoing development in a number of realms. These include:
facilitating your self-actualization process by fostering a greater connection with your intentions, values, and purpose
expanding your capacity to work effectively with the complexity, challenge and opportunities related to race and social justice in your professional and/or personal life. This may include:
your equity focused efforts in your work place, and in your role as a friend, colleague, partner, parent, and family member
your experience in inter-racial intimate relationship and/or parenting multi-racial children
learning tools and practices that enable you to cultivate greater presence, ease, and joy while you manage stress and work-life balance
cultivating deeper connection and authenticity in the relationships in your life
My training and approach seem to work particularly well for those who have an interest in mindfulness, somatic awareness (awareness of the body’s wisdom), spirituality and/or social justice.
Group and White Affinity Space Coaching
An affinity group is a space for people with a shared aspect of identity to support one another in our experience, to reflect authentically and deeply together, and foster our understanding of how our identity shapes our experience. White racial affinity groups allow for us to do this complex internal exploration without asking People of Color to do the emotional work and be exposed to the potential emotional harm from having to teach White People about how our racism manifests. As we expand our ability to reflect on and articulate our own racial awareness and experiences as White people, we can also draw from the many documented experiences, teachings, and wisdom from BIPOC in our process. We do this so that we can support and hold one another accountable for aligning our ways of being with our deepest values and intentions.
I support and guide White affinity groups within organizations and schools who care about equity and would like to engage in ongoing work about how whiteness manifests within ourselves, our ways of working together, our practices, and organizational culture and systems. This work includes:
cultivating compassion, connection, and trust within ourselves and for one another in order to honestly and courageously grapple with our own, often unconscious or unintentional, biases, prejudices, and racism
communal learning from resources and tools to build strategies and expand our awareness of how whiteness and inequities manifest within ourselves, our groups and organizations
engaging in practices and exercises that expand our ways of being, actions, interactions, and work around race and equity
